Embrace the Slow: My Holistic Morning Routine for a Kick-Ass Day
Gooood morning! Or is it??
Are you ready to kickstart your day with a burst of energy and positivity rather than a huge spike of cortisol because you’re rolling out of bed at the last second? Buckle up, because we're about to dive into my holistic morning routine that will make you feel like a superhero before the day even begins… at least it makes me feel that way. 😉🦸♀️
1. Hydration Nation: Chug, Chug, Chug!
First things first – hydration is key. My nutritionist told me that by chugging water in the morning makes your belly feel full so you don’t crave breakfast right away. Start your day by chugging two glasses of water infused with minerals, I like the Trace Minerals brand. It's like giving your body a refreshing wake-up call, and those minerals are like a secret handshake with your cells. We can never have too many extra minerals to ensure our body is absorbing the water we’re drinking.
2. Fuel Up with Protein-Packed Food
No more skipping breakfast or settling for a sad cereal bowl. Your morning deserves better. Fix yourself a protein-rich breakfast that'll make your taste buds dance. Eggs, yogurt, or a protein smoothie – take your pick, but be careful on the excess sugar. After eating protein, your body will thank you with a day full of sustained energy. 3. Sugar, Sugar, Ah Honey Honey
Like I briefly mentioned, be mindful of that sugar intake. We all love a sweet treat, but loading up on sugar in the morning is like inviting the energy roller coaster into your day. Opt for natural sweetness from fruits and keep those sugar crashes at bay. But even then, I’m careful as women are recommended to have only about 25 grams of sugar per day. I love some fresh fruit so I like to have half of an apple in the mornings with some peanut butter and toppings.
4. Seed Cycling for Hormone Harmony
Ever heard of seed cycling? It's like a symphony for your hormones. Incorporate seeds like flaxseed and pumpkin seeds into your morning routine to support hormone health. I love to incorporate seeds into my peanut-butter-mixture-dip for my apple. Just delectable.
5. Supplement Sip: Hydrate and Elevate
Time to pop those supplements! I like to pair it up with a hydration elixir – a concoction of vitamins and coconut water. Your body is a temple, and it deserves the VIP treatment. Here are some of the products I use:

It's your secret weapon against daily stress. Plus, the morning is the best time to do this to ground yourself before a big day ahead.
7. Coffee, the Organic Elixir
Last but not least, my favorite part of the morning… embrace the ritual of brewing organic coffee in an aesthetic stainless steel French Press. ☕️ It's not just a beverage; it's a hug for your soul.
