Diet Plan To Lose Weight Fast!

I know what you’re asking yourself:

Is it real… losing weight fast?

Well, I’m about to burst your bubble… 🫧

The diet to lose weight fast doesn’t exist.

If that diet did exist, you wouldn’t be searching the internet time and time again. Because let’s be real, the odds are if you’ve been on one diet plan, you’ve tried a handful of them. 🍏

The good news is, this might be your last, “how can I lose 20 pounds safely in a week” Google search ⏤ that’s a huge win right there.

Don’t worry, I’ve been there too. That girl you saw on the left above, that was me 95 pounds ago. So, coming from someone who was able to lose 95 pounds and counting…

Here are THREE tips for sustainable, long-term weight loss:

#1 ⏤ Pick a few things & get going

When embarking on a new diet, it seems extremely daunting and, in some cases, almost impossible. That’s why I recommend picking a few things to change so that way you can take action immediately without feeling paralyzed by a complete life switch.

I chose to walk three days a week and cut out processed carbs.

Easy enough, huh? When you make small swaps, change is easier to digest.

#2 ⏤ Eat healthy, whole foods

At least as close to their natural state as possible. Then, have those whole foods be the majority of your diet. What does this look like?

→ A pork chop rather than a bratwurst 🥓

→ Whole potatoes rather than french fries from the freezer section 🍟

→ Fresh fruit rather than fruit gummies or popsicles 🍓

#3 ⏤ Get help from a nutrition professional

This might be the most important tip. I recommend finding reputable help from a nutrition professional or psychotherapist ⏤ someone who understands how people’s brains work so they can help you understand underlying causes as to why you’re reaching for the foods you have been. Those potato chips in the pantry… those were my kryptonite too.

Understanding why you have certain habits makes it easier to find ways to change them for sustainable, long-term, and healthy weight loss solutions.

Listen, I get it. We are constantly being sold the next big thing…

The diet pill, workout equipment, greens drink, eating plan… even injectables. 👀

I'm not here to yuck your yum & say any of those are bad, but you ended up here for a reason so I’m guessing those weren’t sustainable options for you.

Losing weight or trying to adopt a healthier lifestyle can be a real hamster wheel. But, it’s time to get off it once and for all. By using the three tips above you can see sustainable, long-term weight loss that doesn’t take extreme sacrifice. Whether that be physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually… Sometimes we lose ourselves in the process of losing weight because vanity jumps in and we start losing pieces of what makes us happy. Now, I’m not talking about eating a whole sleeve of chocolate chip cookies or going to get a 40 oz. of carbonated sugar. No. Those things provide instant dopamine, but it’s not sustainable. While you may think those things do bring you happiness, that’s where it’s important to find help from someone who understands how cravings, emotions, and the brain all work together.

You’ve got this, my friend. Diet culture sucks, but we’re here to kick it to the curb with these sustainable tips. Take it from me, someone who was once 95 pounds heavier and yo-yoing to and from every single diet “thing” on the market. 🪀 I’ve been overweight for most of my life, but finally in 2019 I decided to make a change.

I was struggling to roll over on my bed.

I was nervous to sit in a folding chair.

Something’s gotta give.

Finally, 2019. I actually did start counting calories for awhile just to see where I was at on a daily basis, but what I really did was started small. I cut out dairy because I had a sensitivity to it. Fun fact: most people these days actually do. I cut out processed carbs and things in boxes that I couldn’t read the ingredients of. Thirdly, I committed to walking three days a week. Just those simple changes got me a good chunk of the way into my weight loss goals.

Then in 2020, I got help. I found out I had all these underlying gut issues that were presenting themselves as rashes all over my body. Ugh, it was a mess. But, by finding help, I was able to clear up those issues in order to heal my gut. She actually encouraged me to:

→ Not be afraid of fat (Healthy fats are HEALTHY, people!!)

→ Eat a lot of meat (Get your protein in through high-quality meats)

→Have as many veggies as I wanted

Sooo, maybe that sounds like a diet, but in reality, I simply chose to eat foods that my body was designed to process.

Our bodies weren’t made to process all these added ingredients and extra junk. 🚮 They were designed to process whole foods! Think of it this way… It’d be like if you added apple juice into your cars gas tank… Not what it was designed for. It might run for a little bit, but there’s going to be some real issues down the line, right?

Simultaneously, I gave up alcohol. That’s a story for another day, but in an ironic twist of fate, I replaced my alcohol consumption with an overconsumption of sugar. 🍪 This is another reason it was important for me, personally, to finally get the help I needed. By understanding why my brain struggles with certain ingredients and realizing that the overgrowth of candida I had in my gut was the one calling the shots whenever I would reach for more sugar… Whew! That changed the game for me.

My food noise was so loud.

I was constantly wondering what the next thing I was going to eat was. Not a healthy mindset or physical relationship with food ⏤ at all. Food was running my life and I didn’t want to feel like that anymore. I can guess that you feel similarly. What I can tell you with certainty is if you follow these three tips, you will see sustainable, long-term weight loss. It will go from wanting to lose weight fast for your next beach vacation to a lifestyle change.

It’s been 5 years since I started my health journey and I’m still going strong and only getting better. 💪
